The idea of no-self is very difficult for me to incorporate. As human beings we are conditioned with the idea of “self” from such a young age that it is very difficult to come out of it. I did sit in a quiet place and tried to do it. The process begins with concentrating on one particular thing. It can either be an object, or a sound or anything that helps you to concentrate. While you might reach this stage, the next stage seems quite difficult. It includes imagining complete detachment which is very difficult to attain. Various thoughts will constantly come to your mind and complete isolation of the “Self” is not possible.
